After a successful Wok’s Around the World #1, the second instalment is ready to take you on a culinary journey, this time focusing on the authentic flavours of Vietnam. Join the guest chefs from Hyatt Regency Danang as they showcase the vibrant Vietnamese dishes during this special week!
Wok’s Around the World #2 is set to light up Village Square – Wok Wok’s kitchen from 30 September to 7 October 2023. The exclusive Vietnamese week will delight guests during lunch and dinner from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
The second series of Wok’s Around The World will feature Chef Nguyễn Văn Vững and Chef Trương Tấn Kiệt from Hyatt Regency Danang.
Coming from Quang Nam province, Chef Nguyễn Văn Vững, a sous chef at Hyatt Regency Danang, brings extensive experience and a strong love for Vietnamese cuisine. “Vietnamese cuisine is a tapestry of regional flavours and techniques that reflect the country’s history and geography. Few realize the intricate balance of flavours that characterize our dishes – the interplay between sweet, sour, salty, and umami,” said Chef Nguyễn Văn Vững.
Chef Nguyễn Văn Vững will collaborate with the skilled Chef Trương Tấn Kiệt, who shares a passion for perfecting traditional Vietnamese delights. They will team up to create a menu honouring Vietnam’s culinary heritage while adding creative twists!
“A standout recommendation from our menu is the classic Bánh Mì. This iconic sandwich encapsulates the essence of Vietnamese street food – a crusty baguette enveloping succulent roasted or grilled meat, fresh cucumber, fragrant cilantro, and the delightful tang of pickled daikon and carrots. It is my way of sharing the authentic flavours that define our culinary heritage,” said Chef Trương Tấn Kiệt.
Taste authentic Vietnamese dishes prepared by the guest chefs, from classic Da Nang Pancake and Phở – offered in vegetarian, beef, or chicken – to shareable Sườn Bò Nướng Sa Tế. And don’t miss the Vietnamese desserts like Chè Chuối – banana sago with coconut soup, Bánh Sắn or cassava cake, and Kem Plan!
