What a feast at Feast Sheraton!
For those of you who don’t already know Sunday Brunch in Bali is a big deal! Many restaurants offer food and drink packages and show-case just how good their chefs are on a Sunday. Whenever we are in Bali we love to try different Sunday Brunch offerings. We have tried many and on our most recent trip we set out to try Kuta’s only market style brunch at Feast restaurant at Sheraton Bali.
Let’s start with the location – set just across the road from Kuta Beach and next to Beach Walk Shopping mall even if you are not staying close by it is worth the trip because you can make a day of it and check out Kuta Beach, Beach walk and the famous Poppies Lane 2 while you are there. The restaurant itself is large and roomy with modern furniture and many areas to choose to sit both outside and inside. We opted for inside so we could enjoy the air-conditioning.
We loved that when we arrived there was a band playing – the perfect atmosphere for a fun Sunday Brunch. The food package for Brunch is one of the best value for money deals that we’ve seen at any Sunday Brunch so far. It’s 333,000 IDR++ and 166,000 IDR++ for children 4-12. HOT TIP: if you sign up to become an Starwood Preferred Guest before you arrive you can get 30% off your food packages. The food package includes softdrinks, juices, tea, coffee and of course the buffet. In true market style this price also includes a take home bag of fresh fruit, vegetables and bread. The drink packages are great value as well priced at 250,000 IDR++ for a 3 hours package of cocktails, beers and wine. For those with expensive taste in wine there is the Premium package offering champagne and wines that would rival some of the best wine lists in Bali for 500,000 IDR++.
The buffet here is so extensive it is actually quite hard to choose where to begin! Outside sees a team working on the BBQ grill where you can choose your fresh seafood to be grilled and delivered to your table. Inside at the live stations you can witness the amazing skill of the noodle maker preparing your noodles fresh, there is also a teppanyaki station and a friendly chef carving the suckling pig and the most delicious prime beef. Sushi lovers will be in heaven with a large range of sushi and sashimi on offer. There is also a comprehensive bread section with a range of cheeses and olives. We loved the dim sum station too – delicious! While you are enjoying this Feast you will also have waiters bringing sample offering and refreshing juice shots around to your table for you to try as well.
We’d suggest leaving some room for dessert! In fact at the table next to us they started on dessert because otherwise they were usually too full and missed out. There is a huge range of tempting desserts on offer including a full gelato range and a chocolate fountain to dip assorted treats in. One of our favourites was the Nutella tarts…mmmmm!
We went as a couple but are already planning our return to Feast with our children. We were impressed with the dedicated Kid’s buffet area, all at kid’s level, small table and chairs and the buffet even featured mash potato snowmen! There is also a kid’s corner with nannies working to keep them entertained. During our brunch the kids were enjoying face painting, colouring and craft activities (when they weren’t over by the chocolate fountain and gelato stands).
It’s safe to say that we absolutely feasted at Feast and totally enjoyed our Market Brunch experience. It is definitely one to add to your list for your next trip. We certainly will be back!
