We’re back from a refreshing staycation at Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road, just before the summer holiday frenzy kicks in! What a sweet break we had at this modern resort set in the heart of Kuta.

Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road is now approaching their 4-year milestone since opening in 2019. Located near Kuta’s vibrant shopping mall scene, endless restaurants, the international airport, and of course, the iconic Double Six Beach, this resort provides a convenient space for a peaceful family getaway and caters to the needs of business-leisure travellers.
Day 1

After receiving a warm welcome from Fairfield’s friendly staff at reception, we made our way to our Deluxe Room with a Pool View. The resort’s rooms unveiled a stunning view of the sparkling pool against the cloudless sky, creating a perfect setting for a summer stay!

Not only does the room at Fairfield offer picturesque surroundings, but it also comes fully equipped with a comfy bed, LED TV, air conditioning, ample storage, fast WiFi, a versatile oval table with a small couch that doubles as a Bali workspace for business trips, along with easy accessible power sockets. Additionally, it features an outdoor seating area for chilling out, an iron and ironing board, a tall mirror, and a bathroom with complete amenities. All of this in a conveniently designed space!

We love Marriott’s initiative to reduce single-use plastic by providing a water gallon for mineral water! We just love all things supporting sustainability!

And here’s the fun part of our stay in Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road. We got the chance to chill at the Pool Bar, indulging in their refreshing and creatively mixed cocktails. It’s a must-do in Bali to explore the local culinary scene, and we were impressed by the resort’s selection of traditional-inspired liquors, such as Bali Blue Spice – a delightful fusion of arak infused with Pineapple, blended with Lemon and Salak, and served with rujak. It gives off a strong flavour at first sip, but the more you dig into it, the drink reveals a delightful balance of sweetness that harmonizes with the spicy and sour notes from the rujak.

The innovative Pool Bar also serves mojitos, whiskeys, and negroni-based drinks, as well as Italian-style cappuccino. There’s just something to suit every taste here!
Next to the bar is the large pool with sunbeds and a jacuzzi. The pool’s inviting waters provide the perfect escape after a long day of work or exploring Bali. Although the resort doesn’t have a dedicated kids’ pool, the little ones can still enjoy a playful splash in the jacuzzi. So, bringing your family to stay in Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road is a great idea!

The resort offers a Games Corner on the second floor, near the Lobby, equipped with a chessboard, mini golf, jenga, and billiards to keep both the big and little kids entertained.
We had a festive dining experience while staying at Fairfield. On the day of our arrival, we indulged in a fulfilling dinner at the resort’s latest culinary addition – Jaba Pasta Fiesta at Jaba Lounge on the second floor. Their concept had us make our own pasta, choosing from a selection of ten types of pasta, including fettuccine, spaghetti, tagliatelle, and fusilli, and a variety of delicious sauces and toppings!

We couldn’t resist sipping another cocktail at Jaba Lounge. This time, we tried the citrus-based Arak cocktail with a blend of ingredients like cinnamon, cardamon, star anise, rosemary, and gin. Unlike the boldness of the Bali Blue Spice, this one had a milder taste and a delightful aroma. If you’re a citrus lover just like us, you may want to try it!
Jaba Lounge starts serving from 5 pm to 10 pm daily, and there will be live music every night to decorate your tranquil evening at the resort before calling it a day.
Day 2

The next day, we explored Jejaton, the resort’s Asian-themed restaurant, for breakfast. Ranked among the top 10 restaurants in Kuta, Jejaton serves mostly Western and Indonesian food, ensuring a harmonious blend of flavours for guests. They offer a wide range of selections, from pastries and fried dishes to Vegetarian Indian cuisine. Moreover, the resort is very accommodating to specific dietary requirements upon request.

The breakfast experience at Jejaton goes beyond just dining. Guests can enjoy live cooking stations featuring teppanyaki and noodle – you should definitely try Indomie during your visit, crepes and waffles, traditional nasi jinggo, and pass-around appetizers prepared by the chef. We enjoyed switching between the sweet and savoury bites.
Our second day was focused on wellness. After enjoying a leisurely time at the outdoor area of our room, we headed to the gym, which is open for 24 hours. Although not overly spacious, the gym is well-equipped to keep you in shape during your holiday. It also has a meditation room which is also used for yoga.

To enhance our wellness journey, we treated ourselves to a 60-minute Balinese massage at Alaya Spa, located on the resort’s third level. It was a great way to indulge in relaxation during our staycation.
Overall, we had a truly fun yet rejuvenating experience staying at Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road. With its convenient location near Bali’s attractions, comfortable rooms with scenic views, excellent dining options, and warm hospitality, the resort effortlessly checks all the boxes as a must-visit destination in Kuta!
