Playground at Umah Rare Kids Club

Jimbaran’s luxury resort – Four Seasons, has unveiled its latest architectural marvel, an innovative and sustainability-focused kids’ club. It invites your little ones to embark on a journey of discovery and delve deeper into Bali’s rich culture and natural beauty.

Named “Umah Rare” – which translates to “House of Children” – Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay’s brand-new kids club offers a sequence of daily-changing activities. These experiences are thoughtfully designed to ignite inspiration, foster boundless creativity, and cultivate a deep-rooted love for the environment among young adventurers.

Umah Rare Kids Club

Umah Rare Kids’ Club, reflecting the resort’s commitment to sustainability, champions eco-friendly principles. The club is thoughtfully constructed using locally sourced, plastic-free materials that prioritize the safety of children. The interior designer, Annie Gauvreau, focused on minimising our environmental impact while maximizing children’s safety and enjoyment, incorporating Balinese textiles and rattan toys into the design.

Activity at Umah Rare Kids Club

The playful space harmoniously blends minimalist Scandinavian aesthetics with a touch of boho chic. It features steeply pitched roofs, polished wood floors, huge picture windows, wildlife murals, and cocooning floor cushions in muted nature-inspired hues – a perfect setting for relaxation, playtime, and storytelling adventures.

Entertainment Umah Rare Kids Club

Umah Rare has four play zones blending Balinese and Scandinavian design, fostering age-appropriate activities and learning. Young guests will get to engage with Balinese nature, arts and culture, as well as learn about sustainability in a fun and meaningful way.

  • The light-filled interior reading and activity space with pastel Skittles, mini train sets, teddy bear chairs, swings for royalty, and a detailed play kitchen with a coffee maker for little baristas.
  • The kids’ garden blends Balinese design with child-friendly features. It includes a slide pavilion in traditional Balinese style, a wooden climbing area for agility and strength, and a wading pool supervised by trained staff.
  • A private loft space with a relaxed, laid-back vibe and a large high-definition flat-screen strikes a balance between a cozy, social hangout and a state-of-the-art entertainment hub for older kids to watch movies and play PlayStation 5.
  • The nursing area is a tranquil space for privacy and convenience with soft lighting, calming colours, a changing station, a sink, and comfortable seating.

The kids’ club is more than a beautiful space. Attentive staff lead engaging cultural and exploratory activities each day, including Balinese dance, music, crafts, sea life discovery, sandcastle building, and kite flying targeted for kids aged four to twelve. Still, younger ones can participate with a parent or babysitter (available at an additional fee).

Umah Rare Kids Club

Umah Rare’s attentive attendants can also accompany the little explorers to Alu, the Resort’s poolside café, or Sundara Beach Club with carer permission. This allows adults to unwind and experience the best of Bali, knowing their little ones are in safe hands.
