The major enhancements of the only Luxury Collection hotel in Indonesia have been completed and the resort is ready to welcome guests back to the newly transformed property, starting May 2, 2022.

As you arrive in the lobby, you will experience the blends of the past, present and the future time after the resort’s 30 years of distinctive service.
The new design in each of 287 rooms is inspired by the collective stories and traditions of Bali, as well as the nautical elements influenced by the resort’s seven lagoons and the travel-based DNA of the Luxury Collection brand.
In the rooms you can see the details starting from the choice of the headboard that uses a panel of Balinese ‘sulaman’ embroidery that is commonly used in Kebaya fabrics.
This element is interpreted as an abstract floral motif of Bali’s neutral tones. You will also find the ‘Saput Poleng’ on the cushions, this traditional piece is so familiar to the eyes yet it gives a strong statement—Saput Poleng is the woven black-and-white checkered textile draped over statues and worn by Balinese people during ceremonies.
Meanwhile the Nautical design elements are translated through the lagoons including the selections of lamps and shiplap walls. Next to the bed, the traveling ambiance is highlighted through the leather detailing that pays homage to travel and discovery.
Not only are the rooms transformed, but also the resort’s meetings and event spaces, along with the debut of a new restaurant and bar concept have all been part of the upgrade. In the Cascade Bar, guests are spoiled by the theatrical and mystical cocktail bar inspired by centuries of oceanic spice trade.
Surrounded by a lively green atmosphere, the bar is located just beside the lobby which makes it the iconic part of the arrival experience. A spot to relax and spend a sunset moment while enjoying Balinese art performances.
In the resort’s dining destination; Banyubiru Restaurant, guests can have an intimate dining experience while being surrounded by the harmony of Balinese tradition and the sea theme. It is as if the fisherman’s villages are brought to the space, through integrated features of the buffet and the communal area floor tiles, while bamboo and rattan are used as detailing for the furniture, lighting and decorative items.
The new upgrade to this much loved resort is sure to delight guests both old and new. Get ready for the new ear of The Laguna, which has been providing beloved holiday memories to guests from all over the world for the past 30 years.
