The five-star beachfront resort unveils comprehensive farming and training initiative, committed to protecting the earth and Indonesia’s cultural heritage.

Through the ‘Sustainable Agriculture Program’, The Apurva Kempinski Bali is teaming up with Samsara Living Museum to promote regenerative agriculture practices. This 12-month program will involve skill and know-how sharing by The Apurva Kempinski’s hydroponic farming and organic experts to support Samsara Living Museum’s agriculture team. Furthermore, the knowledge will be passed on to communities.

The collaboration project includes promoting sustainable farming practices to increase the quality of the produce, supply-chain management, and quality control throughout the chain – as well as enriching local communities with business and management skills.

Taking place at Samsara Living Museum where the resort’s most-required organic crops grow – including tomatoes, chilli, eggplants, the ginger family, herbs, and edible flowers – the program will feature a series of interactive training sessions and group work practices. In fact, Samsara’s current farming system and Bali’s traditional plants inspire the resort’s team to cultivate such plants in its own rooftop garden.

The General Manager of The Apurva Kempinski Bali, Vincent Guironnet, expressed his pleasure to collaborate with Samsara Living Museum for the Sustainable Agriculture Program – strengthening Bali’s sustainable economy, reigniting the area’s potential, and boosting the livelihood of farmers.
Meanwhile, Samsara Living Museum’s value lies in preserving Balinese cultural heritage. Located at Jungutan Village, Karangasem, the institution delivers a holistic and community-oriented mission, with sustainable development as a core element in its business model.
It is indeed an exciting collaboration to experience, merging a sustainable vision and thoughtful initiatives to scale the community in Bali.
