Sambangan’s Secret Garden
Nature Lovers' Haven
The village of Sambangan, located in the green northern part of Bali, is heaven on earth for nature lovers. Winding paths certainly will test your endurance but the spectacular scenery will make you slow down to savor every detail. Located 700 meters above sea-level, this river has been the perfect geological site which made possible the creation of different waterfalls. To reach the Secret Garden of Sambangan, you need to walk about 30 minutes from the parking lot, and during the way you will find many clove trees, and obviously fields of marigold flowers.

We recommend hiring a local guide as trails are not always marked but ignore would-be guides who want to overcharge and cheat the foreign visitors.
The most popular trek usually involves the Aling Aling Waterfall, the Kroya Waterfall, the Kembar Waterfall and the Pucuk Waterfall. The long trek, instead, includes all seven waterfalls, including the Canging Waterfall, the Dedari Waterfall and the Cemara Waterfall. This area is now a well-preserved tourist destination and it’s a good place to refresh your mind and to get in touch with nature!
