Sababay Winery wins multiple medals at the prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition!

Sababay Winery wins three bronze medals at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2024, enhancing Indonesia’s reputation in the global wine industry.

Three bottles of wine with colorful labels from Sababay Winery stand on a table against a yellow background. A bronze "IWSC 2024" award badge is visible in the upper right corner.

The medals are flowing like a fine wine as Indonesia’s top winery, Sababay, brings home another award, lifting Indonesia’s reputation as a major player on the world’s wine stage!

Sababay Winery, famed for its innovative approach, passionate craftsmanship and sensory taste tours, was recently awarded three prestigious bronze medals at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) 2024 for their premium wines:

Magnolia: Award Wine Bronze 2024, 88 score points

Reserve White: Award Wine Bronze 2024, 88 score points

Reserve Red: Award Wine Bronze 2024, 88 score points

Competing against wines from well-known wine regions, including France, Italy, Spain, the USA, Australia, Argentina and Chile, this astonishing milestone is set to put Indonesian wines on the map of globally recognised fine wines.

Guillaume Queron, Head Winemaker at Sababay Winery, explained how each wine was evaluated through blind tastings, and only the finest selections were given awards. Securing these bronze medals clearly demonstrates the Bali-based distillery’s high levels of innovation and quality.

The IWSC, founded by Anton Massel in 1969, is one of the largest such competitions in the world today. This prestigious event has featured participants from over 90 countries and 250 specialist judges from across the globe, ranging from Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers, to winemakers, distillers, and trade specialists with unique wine expertise.

We extend our congratulations to Sababay Winery for another global achievement, with hopes for future opportunities to further elevate its name on the international wine stage!
