Join the journey across Padma Hotel properties in Indonesia to savor unique Peruvian-Japanese fusion dishes, highlighted by the exclusive Tiradito Sake and other delectable creations.
Padma Hotel is set to welcome the new year with an exciting continuation of its flavourful program, building upon the tremendous enthusiasm of the previous year. In January 2024, guests will have the opportunity to experience the concept of a dining experience exchange across all five Padma Hotel’s properties throughout Indonesia.
Returning after a brief hiatus, the program invites you to follow Chef Sandro Medrano from the award-winning Tenkai Japanese Nikkei Restaurant at Padma Resort Legian. Chef Sandro will be showcasing his unique creations in the Tapas Nikkei and Izakaya style at Padma Hotel’s establishments in Bandung, Semarang, and Karawang.
Lima-born Chef Sandro was raised in the art of Peruvian cuisine, refining his skills by assisting his mother from a young age. With years of experience throughout a variety of countries, Chef Sandro is now set to spice up Tenkai’s menu with vibrant Japanese Nikkei flavours, bringing a fusion of Peruvian dishes and Japanese cooking techniques to Bali.
Since Tenkai’s relaunch with its fresh Peruvian-Japanese concept, this unique restaurant has won over both loyal guests and newcomers with its rich and bold flavours. Amongst the creative dishes, the highlight of the Padma Culinary Journey includes Tiradito Sake – a Nikkei dish with salmon slices marinated in the signature Peruvian tiger’s milk.
For those curious about the origins of tiger’s milk – it contains an interesting combination of lime, chillies, onions, and cilantro! Peruvians see it as an energy boost, making you feel as strong as a tiger after having it. Other standout dishes also include the popular Peruvian skewers Anticuchos and Acevichado – a special maki sushi featuring shrimp tempura, sliced tuna, and acevichado sauce.
