Nyepi is here and Jimbaran Puri, a Belmond Hotel, will host a special exhibition at its luxury-tropical property to commemorate the most sacred day in Bali.

Jimbaran Puri invites you to celebrate Nyepi Day through art and cultural collaboration with Marmar Herayukti, a Balinese artist specializing in Ogoh-ogoh creation with eco-friendly materials.
As an inspiration and role model to Balinese young generations, the artist will share his knowledge about the sacred rituals of Nyepi and Ogoh-ogoh, as well as raise the importance of using eco-friendly materials.
Made out of pulp, glue, and bamboo, the large Ogoh-ogoh statue reflects human’s realization towards the power of the universe – and its creation is based on Balinese Hinduism. Not only guests can learn about the creation process, but a magnificent Ogoh-ogoh will also be displayed at the resort until Nyepi.

In addition, guests will see Ogoh-ogoh paintings made by the resort’s in-house talents, showcased around the lobby and Tunjung Restaurant from 20 to 24 March 2023.
On the night before Nyepi, you can witness the Pengrupukan ritual, a ceremony for cleansing and casting out Bhuta Kala, a representation of evil spirits in the Hindu mythology – which involves rice throwing and offerings for yearly blessings.
Combining tranquil experiences by the infinite ocean and pristine white sands with local art, Jimbaran Puri, A Belmond Hotel, is a truly one-of-a-kind Nyepi getaway!
