Wild Air, Ubud
Ubud is well known from the movie Eat, Pray, Love… and it’s eating experiences must be experienced.
When in Ubud we love a visit to Wild Air Restaurant, which is located in the Kaamala Resort, for a tasty time. With an epic forest valley view, Wild Air Restaurant has all the romantic, jungle vibes you’d ever want for a memorable meal.
Serving both Asian & International cuisine, the dishes look just as good as they taste! Led by Chef Agus, you can be assured of a high-quality, delicious, and very beautiful meal, with the perfect Bali ambiance when you choose to dine at Wild Air Restaurant.
Be sure to give their sexy cocktails a try too during your visit!
If you’ve ever visited Cuca in Jimbaran, we are quite sure you would not have forgotten your experience.
Led by Chef Kevin Cherkas, Cuca has been delighting eyes and tastebuds since 2013. With a casual dining meets fine dining concept, Cuca is known for its “think outside of the box” Tapas, Cocktails & Desserts.
Using 100% locally sourced products from across Indonesia, Cuca’s menu will surprise and delight you! Their food is made to be shared and you’ll dine on amazing dishes inspired from worldwide travels, while enjoying the casual and classy surrounds of this award-winning restaurant.
We recommend trying the Chef’s tasting meal for the full Cuca foodie experience!
Kayuputi, Nusa Dua
Located within one of Bali’s most luxurious addresses, you’ll find Kayuputi within Nusa Dua’s stunning St Regis Resort.
With a backdrop of the Indian Ocean and Nusa Dua Beach, the venue itself oozes elegance, luxury, and fine dining. Kayuputi showcases Pan-Asian haute inspired cuisines, perfectly matched with an extensive wine list and carefully curated cocktails.
Whether you wish to experience one of their famous Sunday Brunches, join for lunch or for dinner, Kayuputi is the epitome of fine dining. Led by Executive Chef Agung Gede, the dishes ensure the most complex tastes and textures through an emphasis on thoughtful and authentic preparation.
We recommend trying their degustation menu paired with the exquisite wines, carefully selected by their sommelier if you are really serious about your food experiences while in Bali.
Every element of every dish, and every combination and twist, has been carefully chosen by the Apéritif team to make sure each bite you take is a taste sensation. Every course is carefully plated like a piece of sculpted art. We could go into deep details on each of the dishes we have tried from these menus, but instead, trust us when we say, if you are serious about your foodie experiences – experiencing a degustation menu at Apéritif must absolutely be on your Bali bucket list.
From the moment you arrive at this stunning restaurant, the elegance of the venue sets the scene for fine dining, luxury experience. With no detail left out, every aspect of Apéritif ooze class and elegance, from the décor to the staff uniforms.
With a colonial theme, you could be mistaken that you have stepped right back to the Roaring Twenties era when entering the restaurant. There are not a lot of venues in Bali you can wear your best dress and heels, but Apéritif is one of them.
di Mare at Karma Kandara
If you feel like having a different kind of dining experience, enjoying not only food but also the amazing ambiance like atop the remarkable view from the hills of Uluwatu, di Mare Restaurant at Karma Kandara is the answer.
The award-winning Mediterranean cuisine served in a stunning cliff-top setting overlooking the Indian Ocean. The seasonal fine-dining menu focuses on super-fresh ingredients, exotic flavours and classic cooking techniques, complemented by a superb list of international wines.
Starfish Bloo, Seminyak
The menu is a combination of Pan-Asian flavours with Western essences. With a strong focus on seafood, you can enjoy the show of the Chefs in action in their open kitchen. The restaurant vibe is glamorous, yet casual and is perfect for groups and couples.
Starfish Bloo has long been famous for its legendary Sunday Brunches, where guests love to stay on and enjoy those Seminyak sunsets with sundowners from the complete cocktail and drinks menu on offer at Starfish Bloo.
A visit to Kubu Restaurant in Ubud is the ultimate choice in romance.
With the venue design inspired by the traditional huts of Ubud rice farmers, a visit to Kubu will be a memorable one! The menu showcases Mediterranean-European specialties which are prepared with ingredients sourced from Bali. The romantic vibe is enhanced by the soundtrack of the flowing Ayung River which runs alongside Kubu’s private dining cocoons.
For the ultimate Kubu experience, we recommend indulging in one of their signature six- to eight-course degustation menus.
With the perfect mix of five-star flair and relaxed ambience, Sundara in Jimbaran is a great addition to your Bali dining experiences list.
Its stunning location is total beachfront and overlooks its beachfront pool (at 57 metres it’s the longest beachfront pool on the island!). The menu features a lot of Jimbaran’s famous seafood, caught fresh on the day. Join for their BBQ dinner or enjoy a swim and a light bite from their shareable, casual cuisine menu.
With a focus on freshness, a Sundara experience can be a class sunset meal or a casual day by the pool…. or for the ultimate experience, bring your change of clothes and go from day to night and try it all!
Fisherman’s Club, Sanur
Located on Sanur’s beachfront, the relaxed atmosphere of Fisherman’s Club is the perfect place to experience Old School Bali vibes while enjoying all the deliciousness Bali has to offer.
The menu offers a selection of bits, meats and of course the freshest catch of the day seafood, which is grilled the traditional way over coconut husks. You can dine all day, but we recommend being there for sundown to sip on some of their carefully crafted cocktails before dinner, while the venue buzzes with a beach club vibe.
Koral, Nusa Dua
An experience at Koral Restaurant in Nusa Dua is one like no other in Bali.
You dine underwater, surrounded by the magnificent aquarium which features an abundance of marine life. The menu offers guests a host of artesian dishes combining fresh seasonal products, surprising compositions, and the skills of the talented kitchen team. This elegant venue is one to dress up for! Enjoy all your senses being excited here.
We recommend trying a signature degustation menu for the full experience. If it’s a special occasion be sure to let them know ahead of time, there are always lots of surprises when you dine underwater.
Api Jiwa, Ubud
Api Jiwa’s name is inspired by the Sanskrit word that means ‘fire to the soul’, the menu reflects this with creations that are bold in flavour and have taken inspiration from Asian omakase.
This open-air restaurant is lively and unique. You can choose to either dine and gather around the Chef’s counter to watch the magic happen or be seated at a private dining table. The menu is designed to showcase the best local produce from around Bali.
We recommend getting up close and personal with the chef at the counter for a truly unique dining experience, he will talk you through each dish and where the ingredients are sourced and how it’s prepared for you.
We hope this Bali dining destinations list makes it easier for you to have epic dining experiences in the island. We are so lucky to have so many talented chefs and amazing venues on the Island… we are so spoiled for choice!
