Where Nature Meets Art: Art Week Extravaganza
This year saw the first highly anticipated MMP Art Week. Over seven days, guests are treated to a selection of artistic activities and performances that celebrate Bali’s art scene. Sustainability is always at the forefront of the resort’s mantra, as they honour the island’s rich creative heritage. From inspiring talks by local artists and hands-on recycling workshops to mesmerising traditional dances – this yearly event is certainly one to put in your diary!

Proudly boasting its own coffee plantation, coffee lovers can experience the full ‘bean to cup’ journey as you are guided around the MMP estate. Walk through the lush grounds and see for yourself how their specialty Munduk Coffee is harvested and sample a variety of aromatic flavours on their coffee-tasting tour. We particularly enjoyed seeing how the process evolved and tasting some of the wide selection of beans on offer – even purchasing a few bags to brew up some of our own Munduk memories back at home!

Feast Like A King
Prepare to have your taste buds thrilled as you sample the tempting cuisine at MMP’s two enticing restaurants. Serving delicious fusion Asian and international fare with an Indonesian twist is the resort’s MiMPi Restaurant, where you can enjoy your meal alongside some of the best views on the island. Overlooking their award-winning infinity pool, savour the flavour of delicious dishes made with freshly picked ingredients from their own gardens. We were big fans of the braised Beef Rendang, slowly cooked in aromatic spices – and also the Kari Sapi Panggang (grilled tenderloin served in a curry sauce).
If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Balinese culture, head to Warung Bongkot – the resort’s second restaurant which has been delighting diners with their local specialities. We loved how northern Bali was celebrated in many of the dishes they served, and found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable in their recommendations. We enjoyed trying the Sate Pelecing (tender grilled pork kebabs) and North Bali Sampler, which had a selection of local favourites to try. And if you’re looking to spice things up, their Sambal Journey menu has eight different varieties for you to sample.
