Fine champagne meets an even finer resort in Bali as Rumari restaurant at Raffles Bali is named as the first ever “Krug Ambassade” in Indonesia.

Raffles Bali recently opened in 2020 in Jimbaran, and has been bringing all the luxuriousness associated with the famed Raffles brand ever since. While this exclusive resort is reserved mostly for inhouse guests, their Rumari restaurant is open to the public and must be on any serious food & wine lover’s Bali bucket list.

Rumari at Raffles Bali is one of Bali’s most exclusive addresses on the Island. Serving up one of Bali’s most luxurious Sunday Brunch offers, and fine dining experiences from breakfast right through to dinner. After experiencing the elegance and deliciousness of Rumari ourselves, we weren’t surprised to learn that it has been appointed as the newest “Krug Ambassade”, making if one amongst just a select few venues in the world to represent the House of Krug.

The Krug story began way back in 1843 with Joseph Krug’s vision to create the very best champagne, every year regardless of climate variations. For six generations the Krug family have continued to perpetuate Joseph’s dream, understanding that the true essence of Champagne, is pleasure itself.

We’ll drink to that!

The House of Krug defines a “Krug Ambassade” as an iconic place which represent their principles of prestige – a unique passion and savior-faire. It’s a culinary destination where gastronomic excellence meets the finest Champagnes. It’s little wonder that Rumari has been chosen as the first ever restaurant in Indonesia to represent such renowned brand. Perched on the highest point of Raffles Bali, ‘Rumari’ means the house of the sun and the full moon, it is a restaurant of true beauty located right on the cusp of Bali’s Jimbaran Bay.

Rumari is led by Executive Chef Gaetan Biesuz, who curates Indonesia’s finest dishes in a contemporary style. The gastronomy experiences at Rumari are truly spectacular and certainly amongst the best on the Island. As the newest “Krug Ambassade”, Rumari will infuse the distinguished collection of Krug Champagne into its exclusive dining experiences.
