The name Kroya comes from the Balinese name of a tropical tree which grows right next to it. Legend has it that the tree fell on the blue lagoon during a severe flooding and unfortunately never rose to the surface again. This waterfall is located just 5 minute walk away from the Aling-Aling, Kembar, Pucuk, Cemara, Dedari and Canging Waterfall (that are still part of the village of. Sambangan).
To reach the waterfall, you need only a 10 minutes walk from the parking area. The Kroya Waterfall, however, is ideal for who wants swimming, diving and trekking.
