Discover the allure of The Apurva Kempinski Ubud, Bali, a luxurious resort set amidst lush slopes, offering stunning views and a haven of relaxation. Experience exceptional hospitality and immersive cultural experiences in this new gem from Kempinski Hotels’ Southeast Asian portfolio. Scheduled to open in 2027.

After signing a management agreement, Kempinski Hotels is excited to share the addition of another luxurious gem to its Southeast Asian portfolio. The new Kempinski resort is set to open on the emerald slopes of Ubud, Bali, with the name The Apurva Kempinski Ubud.
Following the successful opening of The Apurva Kempinski Bali in 2019, The Apurva Kempinski Ubud, Bali will be the brand’s latest hospitality project – as well as its second Balinese property in partnership with PT. Panorama Indah Dewata.
The new luxury resort reflects Kempinski Hotels’ commitment in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences in the world’s most beautiful destinations, according to Bernold Schroeder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board, Kempinski Group.
The Apurva Kempinski Ubud will be situated on a south-facing ridge, flaunting magnificent views of the lush greenery in central Bali. Rudy Dodo from Jakarta-based studio, Trivium Design Group, will also lead the resort’s interior and architectural design, just like its sister property in Nusa Dua.
With 160 rooms and villas tucked amidst the lush jungle-covered slopes, the resort will feature an open-sided lobby lounge where guests can immerse in Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage. Accommodations range from spacious rooms and suites starting at 60 square meters to breathtaking Cliff Villas with panoramic views, outdoor decks, and private pools that seamlessly blend with nature. Additionally, there are six spectacular forest Villas spanning 200 square meters.
Guests will get to enjoy picturesque surroundings from a spectacular infinity pool, while the rooftop lounge and bar offer the perfect spot to catch mesmerizing sunsets over the jungle. Moreover, the resort’s specialty restaurant will treat guests to remarkable Indonesian cuisine as they savour Ubud’s natural wonder.
The Apurva Kempinski Ubud will offer a whole new level of relaxation. It features a Balinese Spa haven where guests can embark on a journey of rejuvenating treatments and wellness journeys. Nestled at the end of the ridge, the spa exudes a serene ambience, complemented by the breathtaking view of the verdant valley.
In the resort’s centre, a tropical aviary will provide sanctuary for a veritable menagerie of exotic birdlife from Indonesia and beyond, including the endangered Bali mynah, also known as the Jalak.
“For the last five years, we have worked alongside Kempinski to bring new standards of luxury
hospitality to Indonesia, building a collection of remarkable properties infused with the essence
of Indonesian culture,” says Grace Katuari, Chief Executive Officer, PT. Teluk Agung Alami.
“Kempinski brings a wealth of operational expertise and a dash of European elegance to our
properties. We look forward to taking the next steps on this exciting project together.”
Scheduled to open in 2027, The Apurva Kempinski Ubud will become the second Kempinski resort in Bali, following the successful opening of The Apurva Kempinski Bali in 2019. Additionally, it will be Kempinski’s third management agreement, following last year’s announcement of The Apurva Kempinski Lombok, opening in 2027 as well.
