25 of Bali’s Most Stunning Waterfalls
Are you in for an adventure and to discover Bali’s incredible nature? Then a day of exploring the island’s most (or least) popular waterfalls is an activity to add to your list.
Another one of the 7 waterfalls of the Secret Garden of Sambangan is the Kembar Waterfall. Situated in the village of Gitgit, in the district of Sukasada, this cascade is about 68 km from Denpasar. If you’re leaving from the capital, take the road in direction Bedugul because along the way you can admire the Kembar Waterfall, the Taman Ayun Temple and the Beratan Lake.

“Kembar” means “twin” in Balinese so the cascade takes its name from the two flows mixed together. The Kembar Waterfall is deemed to be able to clean your body, mind and spirit just like the Kroya Waterfall and the Pucuk Waterfall.
The junction of the two waterways has a spiritual value in Bali as the spring of holy water. That’s the reason why this place is also considered sacred by those who want to cleanse themselves of their sins. The Kembar Waterfall doesn’t receive water from the Taman Hidup Lake but from a small river on the jungle’s edge.
