Kanto Lampo Waterfalls

True Beauty Cannot Be Hidden Forever

Before 2015, the Kanto Lampo Waterfall was an untouchable place in the village of Beng, in the regency of Gianyar. It started to become popular by word of mouth and especially for its stunning scenery. The Kanto Lampo Waterfall is named after the local name of a tree where a round orange fruit grows bountifully.

The best time to visit the waterfall is during the summer months because when the water level rises, the area is not very safe. Although the water falls from a great height, it’s not difficult to get there so it is highly suitable for families and children.

On a nicer note, we must say that the staircase is decorated with Balinese umbrellas. Descending to the base of the waterfall, you will find that there are steps made of bricks and others made of natural rock. The local villagers also carved the stone with characters from the Hindu epics, pay attention to these smaller details! And besides, when you take a picture, sit on the large rock in the exact centre of the cascade and turn your face towards the water stream!
