The Grand Hyatt Bali and Hyatt Regency, the top-class resorts has just successfully hosted The Hyatt Canoe Race 2.0 and raised IDR 1 billion for women in need and ZeroWaste center in Bali.

Grand Hyatt Bali prides itself as the crown jewel of resorts in Nusa Dua, with 636 rooms and suites, a water palace and landscaped gardens and lagoons. Grand Hyatt Bali is the perfect place for both business and pleasure with plenty of leisure activities but also 24 different meeting rooms in various sizes all setup to host a business meeting. But Grand Hyatt Bali isn’t only focused on being a top-class resort, they also take responsibility in making Bali a better place. That’s why they’ve just hosted their second canoe fundraising event with The Hyatt Canoe Race 2.0

On May 6th 2023 130 participants came together to put their canoe skills to the test against each other. The thrilling race got started at Hyatt Regency on Sanur beach and had the participants traverse 13km through sand, wind and waves in 2 hours to reach the Nusa Dua shoreline where an epic grand finale awaited.
Once the brave participants rowed their way to Nusa Dua, they were welcomed at The Grand Hyatt Bali for a spectacular grand finale of the event. With a big buffet brunch, live music, silent and blind auctions, a community market and tons of prizes for the participants this made for another memorable edition of The Hyatt Canoe Race.

The event was a big success with all of the money raised going to supporting women in need and raising environmental awareness. Thanks to their efforts and the amazing support of everyone who took part in the event, The Grand Hyatt Bali was able to raise over 1 billion IDR. All of the money raised will be allocated to two of The R.O.L.E foundation’s skill centres. Firstly The Bali WISE, an educational skill to young and marginalized Indonesian women and secondly the ZeroWaste Center, which gives ecological knowledge and waste management training for locals in Bali.
The R.O.L.E foundation’s vision is to empower local people, businesses and governments so that they can develop sustainable communities and to empower marginalized women and integrate them back into the economy through skills training. The R.O.L.E foundation also aims to incorporate zero waste principles through comprehensive waste handling training. Thanks to this event hosted by Grand Hyatt Bali and all participants the R.O.L.E foundation can continue to provide the education and empowerment needed to make Bali a better place!
