The word “Dedari” derives from “Bidadari” which means “Angels”. The villagers of this area, in fact, believe that the basin of this waterfall was used for bathing by a group of angels. The legend also says that if you want to wash your face with the water of this waterfall, your skin will look younger than before. Apart from being one of the most famous tourist destinations in Bali, this waterfall is also used by the locals for purification ceremonies and in agricultural irrigation.

The location is pretty far from the parking area. Along the way, you will cross a bridge made of wood and bamboo and you will follow a trail through the jungle. Make sure you bring your swimsuit to take a dip as an angel.
