Guidepost Montessori AYANA Bali blends academics with Bali’s natural wonders, offering a distinctive early childhood experience. Located within the luxurious AYANA Estate in Jimbaran, this world-first destination school aims to immerse children in the wholesome Montessori philosophy, alongside the island’s rich culture and natural beauty.

Drawing inspiration from traditional Balinese family compounds, the Montessori school’s design features individual structures within a perimeter wall. The structures are placed around a central courtyard, fostering a connection to community and nature. This is similar to how a traditional Balinese family compound is arranged between Bali’s sacred mountains and the ocean.

Children enjoy learning local culture and daily outdoor activities

Nurturing a love for nature and Bali’s spirit, this new Montessori school offers all-year-round Adventure Camps with 2-day and 4-day options for children aged 2.5 to 6 years old. Through the program, the young learners will explore the resort complex, visiting AYANA Farm, Kubu Beach and SAKA Museum.

Guidepost Montessori AYANA Bali’s core program, Children’s House, provides a long-term academic program for children aged 2.5 to 6 years old in child-centred classrooms. Here, children can independently direct their learning, build confidence and social skills, as well as become instilled with a love of learning.

The Children’s House program includes five learning areas tailored to children’s development timelines, centred around these five key programs:

  • Building independence through practical life activities
  • Developing the scientific mind through sensory materials
  • Individualised guidance with writing and reading
  • Concrete materials for lifelong retention of maths concepts
  • Understanding the world through exposure and experimentation

The comprehensive curriculum fosters well-rounded development through language, mathematics, practical life skills, sensory development, work habits, and interpersonal skills. Children also have the opportunity to access a dual-language curriculum, taught by full-time English and Mandarin teachers.
