Join renowned photographer Matt Porteous and the local Indonesian ocean community in celebrating ocean beauty and conservation at the stunning COMO Uma Canggu. This special 3-day event is scheduled for 26 – 28 October 2023, inviting you to an extraordinary collective action for our beloved ocean!
Globally recognised for his exceptional photography, Matt Porteous brings his visual artistry to the forefront of environmental advocacy in the vibrant Canggu area. Best known for his work with the Prince and Princess of Wales, Matt’s deep connection with the ocean led him to establish Ocean Culture Life (OCL), a charity dedicated to giving a voice to the ocean – our most treasured yet undervalued resource.
OCL’s community shares tales of marine wonders and the urgency to protect them, bridging science and communication through storytelling to inspire, educate, and preserve.
“Our oceans are the heartbeats of our planet, and it’s our responsibility to protect them. Through the power of photography and storytelling, we can ignite a collective passion for ocean conservation,” says Matt.

Ready for an underwater storytelling journey? Matt will guide you to the art of capturing ocean
narratives over a dinner on 26 October, and a unique excursion to Nusa Penida on 27 October, diving into underwater photography techniques.
Saturday, 28 October 28 2023: Junior Ocean Advocates
Calling all little sea advocates! Join Living Seas Foundation and OCL to Build a Reef with Recycled Materials and engage in an informative session nurturing ocean understanding.
