Clifftop views, leading-edge architecture, and charming Balinese touches — AYANA Segara is Jimbaran’s latest luxury stay

Set amidst tropical cliff-top gardens, AYANA Segara Bali is the latest addition to the 90-hectare AYANA hospitality estate in Jimbaran.

RIMBA-Jimbaran-BALI-by-AYANA

The hotel features 205 beautifully designed rooms, melding modern design with laidback luxury and Balinese touches.

Intricate Balinese wood carvings greet guests at the lobby, while an original kamasan painting on the ceiling unfolds a wayang story (traditional puppetry). An identical artwork is housed at AYANA Resort Bali, linking the two hotels.

Tri Hita Karana, the Balinese concept of living harmoniously with nature, has guided the design of the entire property. Spacious living quarters blend seamlessly with panoramic views of Jimbaran Bay, the lush AYANA Estate forest, and the sounds of nature. Outdoor living is fully embraced throughout the hotel, thanks to the leading-edge architecture by award-winning design firm WATG.

The hotel joins sister properties AYANA Villas Bali, AYANA Resort Bali, and RIMBA by AYANA Bali, and brings the total number of suites, villas, and rooms within the estate to 980.

Guest Rooms

Ayana Segara has 205  elegant rooms and suites, featuring Balinese-inspired interiors by Yasuhiro Koichi who also designed the famed Rock Bar. Ranging from 58 square metres to 65 square metres, each room makes the most of its tropical setting. Floor-to-ceiling windows lead out to spacious private balconies with ocean-view daybeds. Each room has luxury living space, dining areas and a large walk-in wardrobe, while bathrooms are opulent and include oversized oval bathtubs and marble rain showers.

The top-tier two-bedroom Ocean View Suites are perfect for family sized groups. Large parties can combine two with a single entry and designated foyer for a total of 133 square meters (1,432 square feet) of space and living and dining areas for six.

Dining

Joining the 19 existing venues within the AYANA estate, AYANA Segara has three stylish restaurants for guests to choose from.

Karang, near the main pool, is the resort’s 194-seat all-day dining restaurant. Here, guests can tuck into Pan-Asian, local and western breakfast buffets, as well as tapas-style Chinese and Italian plates.

Medi serves Mediterranean-inspired salads, pasta, and seafood. The wine list will highlight whites and reds from boutique Spanish and Italian vineyards as well as Bali.

Finally, Luna is the hotel’s rooftop bar, and the best place to see one of Jimbaran’s spectacular sunsets. The menu offers a true farm-to-table experience, with dishes spotlighting local ingredients from AYANA Farm.

Salmon poke bowls, Jimbaran-style  jagung bakar (roasted corn), and  tapas favourites like gambas à la plancha (grilled prawns), and ceviche are just a few of the highlights.

Wellbeing

World-class health and wellbeing facilities are a key part of the AYANA Segara experience, too. Looking out over the Indian Ocean, the main pool — which is the biggest indoor-outdoor pool in Bali — is one such example. There’s also a rooftop pool at Luna Rooftop Bar, which brings the estate’s total tally to 14.

Sprawled over 22,000 square metres, the highly sought after AYANA Spa is just a step away from AYANA Segara Bali. Traditional Balinese massages, marine rituals, oil-free “Nakatsuji Method” massages are just the beginning of the offerings.

One of the most memorable spa experiences available is the “Ocean Ritual,” which is delivered at a spa villa perched atop rocks above the crashing waves. Thalassotherapy is also a big draw card.  AYANA Spa is home to one of the world’s largest Aquatonic Seawater therapy pools where the therapeutic power of seawater is utilised to promote health, wellness, and beauty.

“AYANA Segara Bali will bring its charm to the curious-minded and young-at-heart travelers who are looking for a laidback luxury style of living, and inspire them to explore the unique experiences that AYANA Estate has to offer,” said Michi Sonoda, Executive Assistant Manager, Sales and Marketing of AYANA Hospitality.

“As a microcosm of the island experience, AYANA Estate is a perfect starting point to explore Bali and a must-visit destination in its own right. AYANA Estate and its experiences is a sanctuary of wellbeing where peace, harmony, and happiness are nurtured, for our guests to come home renewed and refreshed,” she continued.
