Alila Villas Uluwatu presents an exclusive collaboration between its esteemed CIRE restaurant and August – the up-and-coming, Jakarta-based restaurant, recently crowned winner of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023, American Express One To Watch Award.
On 16 to 18 June 2023, Chef Sheandy Satria of Alila Villas Uluwatu will team up with August’s Chef-owner Hans Christian to unveil a stunning 10-course dinner tasting menu and a Sunday brunch that showcase their culinary artistry.
With a unique fuse of modern flavours and Indonesian-inspired elements at the core of August’s signature, the restaurant has been igniting the contemporary cuisine scene since its launch in 2021.
This time, Chef Hans welcomes gourmet thrill-seekers on a flavorful voyage inspired by his travels and childhood memories – with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients sourced from around the Indonesian archipelago that ensure rich and captivating flavours. Meanwhile, Chef Sheandy’s mastery at recreating local flavours with Western techniques into authentic dishes perfectly matches with inventive culinary showdown.
For the four-hands dinner, guests can look forward to savouring a series of light bites and appetizers, including Razor Clam Tempura and Rabbit Rillettes with charcoal ‘cakwe’ and Alila garden chili jam.
Also, taste a delightful fusion of oceanic freshness and culinary creativity with White Fish dressed in lemongrass, ham broth, and ginger flower. For meat epicureans, Lamb Short Loin with caramelized galangal, tomato curry, and aromatic herbs will leave you craving more!
Another gourmet offering, Sunday brunch, will present a medley of lobster creations, beautifully crafted with the perfect balance of sweet, sour, spicy, and umami flavours.
